Secrets of The South 2017
            Sunday,  July 16 - Sunday,  July 23

Begin in the beating heart of the south, Napoli. It's loud and delicious. Wood-fired pizza and street food galore.  Our home base for the rest of the week will be in Camapania, at the luxurious Il Borgo La Pietraia over looking the Tyrrhenian Sea, later we return for two nights to Napoli.

Enjoy some of the finest seafood in Italy.  Learn to make pasta, a perfect marinara sauce using local San Marzano D.O.P. tomatoes grown in the volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius, and taste fresh mozzarella di bufala on the farm.

Explore the cave city of Matera, and slow down with the locals in Salerno for the nightly stroll through town known as "passegiata" .

Your home in Capaccio,  Il Borgo La Pietraia

Built on a mountainside overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, each guestroom offers spectacular views from your own private patio.

The property is abundant with Italian vegetation including fig, olive, and cherry trees, lavender, rosemary, and bay laurel. Stroll the grounds on your down time, relax poolside, or enjoy a cocktail on one of the properties expansive terraces.

The Scarati Family who owns and built this country estate, will win your heart over the moment you arrive. Constructed to honor the family's passion and ancestral ties to the region, the entire property was built out of the local stone excavated from the surrounding mountains.

The architecture may have been inspired by the ancients, yet the property is decorated with modern pieces and splashes of brilliant color, and provides all modern amenities. Each room has an en suite bathroom and is equipped with a flat screen TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, and mini bar.
