Spend the afternoon with Renaissance masterpieces and sip Vino Nobile while watching the Tuscan sun set. Explore medieval hill towns, make fresh pasta, hunt for truffles and antiques.

Get delightfully lost in the winding cobblestone streets the Medici once travelled, and spoil yourself in Florentine, rustic elegance.

HOTEL VILLA MARSILI, CORTONA

Your home in Tuscany for the week is Hotel Villa Marsili. Located within the walls of the picturesque Tuscan city of Cortona, Villa Marsili is within walking distance of the center of the village. A gated entrance, 24 hour concierge, and all of the modern amenities of a luxury property await you. All 26 guestrooms are all tastefully decorated and have a view of the lush, green Val di Chiana. Ceilings are adorned by frescoes and rooms are decorated with original and antique furniture. A daily breakfast buffet is served in the hotel's softly colored dinning room, and in the evening guests can enjoy a complimentary aperitivo on the garden terrace before dinner.

DAY 1

WELCOME TO ITALY!

We will pick you up at Roma Fiumicino Airport or Roma Termini Station. Check into Villa Marsili, then welcome dinner at a traditional trattoria in the village of Cortona.

DAY 2 VISIT A CHEESE FARM

Lunch and wine tasting at cheese farm with the view Tuscany is known for. Tour the farm and visit with the goats, peacocks, pigs and more furry friends, and pick up some of their organic products to take home. Visit to the Renaissance village of Pienza afterwards.

DAY 3 HANDS ON COOKING CLASS

Breakfast at Villa Marsili or walk into town for cappucino and chocolate-filled cornetti in Piazza delle Signorelli to chat with the locals. Hands on cooking class, making traditional Tuscan dishes at an agriturismo with wine pairings. NOTE: Yes, Under The Tuscan Sun was filmed in Cortona, and author Frances Mays does live here, so if you would like to walk past her house we can take a trek after lunch. :) Dinner in the village tonight.

DAY 4
RENAISSANCE ART IN FLORENCE

Artisans workshops walk through the city. Tickets to the Pitti Palace and Costume Galleries, once the summer home of the Medici family, are included in the tour if you would like to visit. Otherwise the rest of the day is free to explore Florence before we meet for dinner tonight in a restaurant popular among the locals, across the Arno River.

DAY 5

WINE TASTING IN MONTEPULCIANO

Wine tasting with light bites at a winery in Montepulciano, while painting with wine too!Time in the historic center to explore and shop. Dinner on your own tonight in Cortona.
